Before your tan

Exfoliate thoroughly, preferably the day before your tan is to be applied. This will remove dead skin and provide a new, smooth surface for your tan.

Exfoliating helps to promote an even coverage and lengthens the duration of the tan.

  • Shave or wax  the day before your application NOT ON THE DAY this will allow pores sufficient time to close.
  • Moisturise the day before your tan, NOT ON THE DAY..
  • Remove make-up, perfume and deodorant before your application.

Please ensure that you are ready for your spray tan when I arrive, this includes showering, removing make-up etc. before your appointment time. Many thanks.

Aftercare

It is recommended that you wear dark loose fitting clothing. Solution washes out of most clothing very easily but tends to stain nylon and lycra materials, therefore dark coloured underwear is recommended. Be careful after your tanning appointment of wearing long boots as these can make your tan patchy on your legs.
Leave your tan for at least 7 hours and overnight if possible before showering or taking a bath. This allows your tan time to develop. Avoid wearing socks or shoes after your tanning session as sweating can inhibit the development of your tan. Sandals are a good choice. If driving, beware of tan getting onto your seatbelt as this could later transfer onto your new white top!

  • Avoid applying moisturises or deodorants until your tan has developed.
  • Avoid wearing tight clothing for at least 5 hours, Tight clothing or underwear may cause marks, flip-flops are a good choice.
  • All swimming, showering and vigorous exercise must be avoided for at least 5 hours as this can inhibit the development of your tan.
  • Don't shave until 12 hours after your treatment.
  • Don't sit on light coloured fabrics until you've showered or taken a bath as the colour guide can cause discolouration.
  • Try to avoid touching your skin with your hands or you may transfer some of the colour!

Remember. When you take a shower or a bath you will see some colour wash off. Don't worry. This is quite normal as it is only the colour guide that  is sprayed on when the tan is applied. You will be left with a gorgeous tan.

Maintaining the Tan

It is recommended you follow these general guidelines to maintain your tan:

  • Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise, morning and night if possible
  • Avoid long hot baths and showers as these speed up exfoliation, a quick shower is the best choice!
  • Pat your skin dry after a bath or shower. Rubbing your skin may rub off your tan.
  • Avoid swimming pools or sea water if possible as these can reduce your tan
